Building a resort backyard requires more than just palm trees and lighting. We take the time to work with the client to determine their best use. At this project the client wanted to have an area where friends and family who didn’t want to swim could still hangout with the ones who did. All the while being in close proximity to the kitchen. Of course this project being in Mesa Arizona we needed to add shade. Positioning this shade structure on the west side of the pool insures that when the afternoon sun moves across the sky the shade will increasingly cast additional shade cover over the pool. Another notable feature is location of the spa in relation to the house entrance doors. Believe or not Arizona nights can still be cold during the winter months. So, it’s important that the trot from the spa to the house isn’t anything too extreme. In the end the use of space in this backyard was maximized and allowed for the perfect resort style setting.
