We purchased our new home and wanted to have a pool and backyard we could relax and enjoy. Mike and Apricity pools went above and beyond our expectations. Mike was here every day to make sure we knew what was going on in the construction process, always available to answer questions and made sure we were happy with end result.

The entire process took less than three months (pool, spa, water features, turf, decking and outdoor kitchen). We cannot say enough great things about Mike. While everyone else was getting a pool in a year or more ours was done in a month and more beautiful than we could imagine. Mike was there for each step and everyday to ensure things were done right and on schedule. I worked with Mike from Apricity to pools to help build my dream backyard. Mike was amazing to work with. He designed the pool exactly the way I wanted. He was extremely knowledgeable and brought up things that I did not think of. The layout was done extremely well and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was more than up to code. I told him from the beginning that I wanted to be the owner pool builder and there was no pressure from him to have him take on the project. He offered what services he could provide and I used him for a few of them and the rest I subcontracted out myself. Even though I am building it on my own, Mike followed up with the during the whole process and even caught some areas the rebar company missed on the plan. I am so glad I found Apricity pools and I love how they help me get the backyard our family wanted.

Mike was amazing to work with from start to finish. He helped us finalize our design, offered suggestions when needed, and helped make our vision come to life. He was very knowledgeable on products and did not try to add on things we did not need. Communication was excellent throughout the project as well. Before doing Mike’s DIY program, we were looking at using a traditional pool company that was going to cost $90k and 10 months to complete. By doing Mike’s DIY program, our pool was finished in 4 months and saved $25k. Putting money aside, you will also increase your happiness due to not having a 10 month long project in your backyard.

Managing a pool build on your own ended up being way more straight-forward than I expected due to Mike’s experience, responsiveness, and amazing subcontractor recommendations. If you are looking to swim 6 months sooner and for cheaper, I highly recommend doing Mike’s DIY program.

I wanted to take the time this morning to personally reach out to you and thank you for stepping up and completing our backyard project. When our previous contractor contacted us and let us know he would no longer be completing our project, we were left defeated and lost. Upon reaching out to Mike, he was over within hours triaging the situation. You were very honest and upfront in not only what you could do but also the time frame to finish the project. You also took the time to go over our previous contract to ensure that we got everything we initially paid for and allowed us to line strike items that were no longer within our budget. Once we signed the contract, Mike’s communication was amazing. We got what felt like daily updates on what was going on, who would be onsite for the day, and when to expect the next crew there. This was a night and day change in what we had with the previous builder, who often left us ghosted for months at a time. But that was not the case with Mike, he would even stop onsite when workers were there to check on the progress and ensure they were on task. That showed me the level of professionalism and thoroughness Mike puts into each one of his projects.
